Which test should my kid take?
- Finishing a grade, or about to start the next one: take the test for the grade they’re finishing. 80% or more means they’re ready to move on.
- Partway through a grade, or homeschooling: take the test for their current grade to see which topics they already know.
- Not sure: start one grade lower. A strong score points you to the next test.
How the tests work
- One question from every math topic in the grade, following the Common Core standards.
- Print it, or show it on a screen while your kid writes the answers on paper.
- Mark each answer on the page to see the score and which topics to practice. Your marks aren’t sent anywhere or saved.
- Need a retake after some practice? Make a new version with different numbers.
After the test
Every topic the test finds has its own free worksheet with an answer key, and the free formula sheets put each grade’s formulas in one place. For practice your kid can do on their own, StudyWiz has quick online quizzes on every topic and a homework helper that gives hints instead of answers. See how StudyWiz works for homeschooling.
